Revel VS Avalon

Bmpnyc, I have heard from good sources that Avalon is planning on making a center channel speaker, just not marketed under the Avalon name. I'm told it will not be finished as well, but will certainly mate well with Avalon products in a home theater set-up (ie. similar frequency balance and polar response). Talk to Lucien at Avalon. I spoke to Lucien several yeasr ago about producing an Avalon center channel. My understanding was thatthey were building one. However that was several years ago and I am still waiting. He did say that they could modify the monitors and test them out.

avalon is building a center channel and sub that will mate with symbols. prototypes were on static display at ces 2001 in the muse suite. kevin halverson designed the sub. the center channel proto used the same drivers as the symbol. BTW, i listened to an ht setup last week with avalon arcus's in front and symbols in rear. with this setup, you don't need a center channel. -kelly
