I never listened to in wall speakers, but I need a pair (my wife wants something to be hidden in our new family room). I think I'm buyuing Klipsch - any word on these? I'm looking at the RCW-3 for $550.
I use Polk Audio in walls and they work well. Some of the higher end models come in their own enclosures. If they are open then make sure you pack your wall tight with insulation. Good luck!
Sonance has a very broad range of in-walls. Very popular with custom installers. Website is www.sonance.com if you want to take a look. Try to listen before you buy.
