Tyler Linbrook Monitor

How do these compare to the Soliloquy 5.0 or other two driver monitors. Are they worth the extra money? Is thier more bass, fuller sound etc? Thanks

I bought some amp and equipment stands from Tyler and drove to Kentucky to pick them up. I have listened to the Soliloquy 5.0 and 5.3 and listened to the Taylo Reference Monitor while I was at Tyler. The Taylo is better in every way for me. The bass is as good as any monitor I have heard and the highs and mids are very sweet sounding. The Linnbrook is actually(according to Ty) about 3 steps up from the Taylo and with its driver arrangement will go much deeper than the Taylo. I saw some in various states of build and they look fantastic. I wish he would have had a finished pair I could have heard. I also don't think you will beat Tylers customer service. All I bought was some stands and Ty took 2 hours out of his day to show me his facilities, demo his speakers and talk about all things audio with me. Good luck in your decision.
Scottagee is absolutely right about Ty. He is very passionate about his trade and absolutely loves what he is doing - and it shows in his work. He is also one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to work with. One problem though, I don't think he'll ever get rich doing business this way.
I have used both his reference monitor and a Reference system (very similar to the Lynbrooks with passive bass modules) all with a a 20 Watt SET amp, and they sound great. I have no problems! I don't think I would want to go much lower than that in power, but they do work well with SET equipment!
