New version of JM Lab Electra?

I must say that I have not heard the new 936 or 946. But, I own the 920.1 and can tell you that this is just an amazing speaker and in terms of getting the most sound for your money it is just the best that I know of. Since the model have been discontinued, you may be able to find these speakers new or almost new for 50% of the original price (which is 5K). Since the new line is very expensive (I believe that the 946, which is the equivalent of the 920, costs $7500). So, to sum up, unless you have a lot of money to invest in this hobby grab the 920.1 and invest the money you saved in quality electronics and cables. Hope that helps. Actually, I have the 905 and the Electra Sub. I like the 905 very much but the problem is I can not make the 905 and sub going together. I'm tied of moving around so I plan to change to floor stand. I think it's good idea to save money on 920.1. Do you think the 920.1 works well in small room 12'W x 15'W X 8'H in (any base problem)?

It works great for me and my room is about your size. The only thing it that they sound better if you place them at least 2' from the wall. I am using the 905 as surrounds and extremely happy with the 920.1. You'll save a lot of money compared to the new line. Also, I dont think that you will need a sub for music - the 920 have excellent tight base.

Yes, that's my plan to get rid of the sub. I may use the sub for movie only. How far do you place your 920.1 from back and side wall? How far from your listening position?

The speakers are about 2 feet from the back wall but due to room limitation one of them is no more than 20cm of the side wall. My listening position if about 3 M from the speakers.
