I use Stabilant 22 with good results too, after I clean the contacts with alcohol.
MAGIC Roller Coaster Ride For CD Players .....
I have a $20 Symphonic DVD/CD Player that I tweaked out to sound AMAZING!! I love this thing so much now that I'm getting a converter so I can take it with me on the road...hooked up to my car stereo too!...
I tweaked it out using some QuickSilver Gold contact enhancer on the male connector pins on the circuit boards inside the Player.
First thing you do is turn on the power going to the CD Player and then you unplug the power cable from the ac outlet and wait 24 hours before doing anything!!!...
Next, you unhook the flat ribbon cables going to the male connector pins on the circuit board there.
Next, you take a "toothpick" and coat this stuff on all the male connector pins on the circuit boards there...you only coat the top circuit board connector pins only,>>> the flat ribbon cable going to the Laser is the only one that you coat at both ends at the male connector pins there >>You need to watch out how you unhook these flat ribbon cables and make sure you hook them back the same way on these male connectors or your CD Player will not work!!!...<<< If you hook these flat ribbon cables back up the wrong way on these connector pins on the circuit boards, your CD Player will not work so watch how you unhook and hook back up these cables so you get it right the first time!!!...
Next, you coat the power supply with this stuff...they are some metal pins sticking up under the power supply there that you coat there.
Next, you coat the interconnects outputs on the inside of the CD Player with this stuff.
Next, you coat the fuse holder and fuse with this stuff too.
Please let us know what you think of your CD Player a few weeks after this tweak......
