Tweeter height...align with ears?

I just purchased some new monitor speakers and stands. These stands put the tweeters about 3-4" above my ears when I am in my listening chair. I am just curious how important it is for the ears to be vertically aligned with the tweeters?

Tboooe, your setup has come along nicely.
But since you are listening near-field in a small space and based on Onhwy61's comments, it's probably better to use some diffusion on the ceiling. Absorption could create a suck-out, and you only want to soften the refection off the ceiling.
As with Yogiboy, my experience is that manufacturers always recommend ear level. Higher will increase treble; lower will decrease treble. So, flavor to taste.
for better results contact the manufacturer of the speaker and find out where the measurments were taken from. some measure on tweeter axis, some measure on woofer axis and some like my product measure where the woofer touches the tweeter making it the musical center. toe angle is something very different and depends on the radiation characteristics of the speaker, uniformity of response and personal taste.
