Modwright SWL 9.0SE Preamplifier

Can someone tell me if this preamp is has a balanced output

The Modwright SWL 9.0 SE does not have balanced outs...his new LS36 (due out in March-April) will. The tube rec'd upgraded PS was just announced (he's had it for the LP and the player mods like my Denon 3910 for some time). The first feedback is on his forum on Audio Circle.

Single Ended only, no Balance at this time.

I have a Modwright SWL9.0 SE, a Conrad Johnson PV5 with the zero electrolytic CJ mod, a Conrad Johnson PF1 (phase inverting preamp) and two McIntosh preamps. These are actually all good sounding preamps but do have their differences. 
- The Modwright renders the most low level detail without a doubt. It has the least input switching which can matter to some. 
- The CJ PF1 (I've owned others CJs as well) is very transparent with good low level detail but not as good as the Modwright. It does have a very good sounding phono stage and more input options. 
- The CJ PV5 is very involving and relaxing to listen to. Low level detail and accuracy is far better after CJ replaced the electrolyic power supply caps with Poly caps. I've performed a lot of classical and jazz and the CJ reproduces a convincing soundstage perhaps by adding some lushness lost in the recording chain. The phono stage is lovely in this preamp.
- The McIntosh preamps sound good and are non fatiguing but do not produce the low level detail of the Modwright or CJs, but they have lots of inputs, are very reliable and trouble free and are enjoyable. Their phono stages sound good.
