Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Tonight's menu:
Shostakovich - "Symphony #12 "1917"" Mravinsky/Leningrad Philharmonic
John Coltrane - "Blue Train" 200g reissue
Bach - "Kaffe-Kantate" (coffee cantata)Harnoncourt/Concentus Musicus Wien
Holst - "The Planets" von Karajan/Berlin Philharmonic
Joe, I am consistently struck by how closely our music tastes match. We definitely need to get from one side of the river to the other to further explore each other's music libraries!

Tonight:
Resphigi's Church Windows, Reference Recordings
Holst Planets, Previn/LSO, EMI (my favorite of this)
Nancy Griffith, Last of the True Believers (playing now)

The Coffee Cantata (same performance) was on the table last week.
Rush,
No kidding! I had that same recording of Church Windows in my hands tonight, and replaced it with Coffee Cantata.

We'll have to get you and Ann over for dinner when we get closer to the final room layout.
We are tuning up the room and today we are serving:
Mahler - "Symphony No. 4 in G Szell/Cleveland Orchestra
Rory Block - "Rhinestones and Steel Strings"
Thelonius Monk - "Brilliant Corners" Riverside Mono pressing
Pink Floyd - "Dark Side of the Moon" MFSL pressing and 30th Anniversary pressing
So far this evening:
Paul Simon - "There Goes Rhymin' Simon"
Mendelssohn - "Hebrides Overture" and "Symphony 3", Maag/LSO, Decca 45rpm Speakers Corner reissure (Stunning! An absolutely incredible recording by Kenneth Wilkinson and a suberb reissue)

Coming a bit later:
Sonny Rollins - "Saxophone Colossus" (Analogue Productions reissue)
