Preamp Deal of the Century

If anyone is looking for a true "World Class" preamp at a very fair price..heed my advice. I just recieved a Supratek Syrah preamp that was hand built by Mick Maloney in Western Australia, and it is absolutely beautiful! This preamp is the best deal you will ever find. I would put it up against any preamp out there for both looks and sound. Price? $2500 for the Syrah (includes Killer Phono stage). Not into phono? Try the Chardonney line stage for $2100. Don't get me wrong, I am not associated with this company. I am just a very happy owner! This preamp is VERY dynamic, yet liquid. I have a Cortese thats about 3 years old and I am thinking of doing the upgrade or ordering a new Cortese .
Has anyone upgraded their Cortese and could you explain the difference ?
Has anyone listened to a new and an older Cortese ?
How long is the wait for a new one? I may end up ordering a new Cortese and sell my existing one after .

Any out there in Audigon land waiting for their Supratek? I ordered a Cabernet in January '04 from Mick, albeit with some custom tubes, but am stilling waiting for word of delivery. Has anyone been waiting 10 month's or more?

Hey Larry. January 04!!!! Are you kidding? Geez, I have been seriously considering ordering a new grange but don't think I could wait anywhere near 2 years to get it.
