Preamp Deal of the Century

If anyone is looking for a true "World Class" preamp at a very fair price..heed my advice. I just recieved a Supratek Syrah preamp that was hand built by Mick Maloney in Western Australia, and it is absolutely beautiful! This preamp is the best deal you will ever find. I would put it up against any preamp out there for both looks and sound. Price? $2500 for the Syrah (includes Killer Phono stage). Not into phono? Try the Chardonney line stage for $2100. Don't get me wrong, I am not associated with this company. I am just a very happy owner! This preamp is VERY dynamic, yet liquid. I had the same experienced. I thought the Supratek synergized very well with planars and electrostatics, be it driven by SS or tube amps. That was my impressions when I had my Martin Logans and Magnepans.

Anyone noticed the NEW Supratek website?? ...a good read and nicely presented. Good news is I hear some products are available again by special(patient) order ;-))

Awesome! I would love a Dual Cabernet at some point... Using a Chardonnay right now.

I much prefer him 'slightly in business' rather than 'out of business'.

Hi, Is it normal to hear the thump from speakers when you tap the Chardonnay preamp body. I have adjusted the gain to the lowest but it is still there and the gain switches don't make a difference. Help.

One or both of your 6sn7 tubes could be microphonic. If so completely normal.
