Look on the bright side, it cuts down on house calls.
Look on the bright side, it cuts down on house calls.
And I hear it keeps the elephants (and flying saucers) away ;-)
I remember seeing Lloyds table in 1999 at the Chicago Stereophile show. Cost was $14,995.

how times have changed, and no doubt the table to some degree, but 90k's worth?
Dear Rushton: I heard four times three different audio systems where the analog rig was " commanded " by the Walker TT.

One of those times was at Slipknotl place ( great fun there with a great family people there. Thank's. ) where I met Lloyd.

I have no single doubt on the TT high quality perfromance level but I'm questioning my self if those big 105K dollars are justified in front that high quality performance level against TTs costing 10-15 times lower other that the owner proud?, as Geoffkait posted: " it's that real? ".

Things in audio seems to me that everyday are targeted as priceless importance it does not matters the " real " value.

Of course that Walker as any other audio manufacturer/distributor is free to put the price they think is the best for its customers.

Of course that this price value diminish in no single way all the L.Walker works over the years to improve an to mantain a growing up " religious " high end hobby. Good for this!

Regards and enjoy the music,

Hi,

I just got my Walker Audio Black Diamond 3 updated Sat. to the Mark V and it was great to see Lloyd and Fred again.
The Update is a serious one, through the update from the 2 to 3 this one made a much more profound difference. He does something to the Air supply,Headshell,Under the Platter, changes the feet on the motor stand, record clamp and even did something to my motor controller.
When they left and I sat down to listen it was jaw dropping the detail and speed and bass and air around the instuments and soundstageing I was getting out of the system.
Bottom line,if you own a Walker Black Diamond do yourself a favor and get the update a sit back and enjoy,it really is a no brainer.

Regards Robert
