Phono interconnect under $500 used

I am using Mogami 2549 interconnects at the moment to connect from the tonearm to my phonostage. It is good, well balanced tonally with macro dynamics and speed. However I get a feeling that I am missing on outright resolution. Is it a realistic expectation to find another interconnect within $500 (used) which will have the fine balance of Mogami yet improves on the resolution ? I am not looking at the latest and the greatest but rather a proven IC for phono connection.

My suggestion is that you indicate the cartridge and phono stage you are using, and the length of the cable that is required, and give greatest weight to responses that are based on similar circumstances.

If you can get away with an unshielded cable, resolution might improve. I'll take the VERY minimal hum while standing next to my high efficiency speakers over the lack of resolution through various shielded cables I've used.
I've had the Tricon, the connectors are awful and wonky ground leads!

I just got the Furutech ($500 new) and it has great connectors with reasonable ground leads. it sounds very good, possibly better than the Tricon.
One more thing. My current cables use a single wire versus multi strands. This may also affect resolution.
If you can find one, it sounds like you are looking for a XLO Signature 3 S2-3 phono cable. Be careful though, there are a lot of fakes out there on the market.
