Confessions

What artist or music do you like, that generally you won't play around your wife or friends/family, because you may fear mockery, or not enjoy it, out of being misunderstood, because they don't/wont "get it"

sorry for the wrong use of quotation marks.

Be brave and tell..

OR.... maybe it's just me, and I'm too self conscience.

Here's one of mine.

Antonio Carlos Jobim

I think he was great,my wife looked at me like I'm nuts and was starting to like elevator muzak.

Jobim's great, especialy his TIDE album.

Anyone else? Please tell!

I guess you showed them! stupid tenants.....

Clint Eastwood should had done that to his neighbors with the Guns and Roses song "Welcome to the jungle" in his Gran Torino movie.

Ya,maybe while sittin on his porch drinking beer, shouting "Your in the Jungle baby!!!" firing his gun into the air.

musical terrorism,hummm...
So in other words if someone does not like the music you play or something your doing on your property you should stop right there and then or your a terrorist?!!!
I think the Golden rule is applicable here, with a dash of common sense and civility.

I can't really play any of the free jazz I love so much when my wife is home. Cecil Taylor, Ornette Coleman, Coltrane's later recordings on Impulse, Albert Ayler...anything like that makes her crazy.

As far as rock goes, I have found nothing that clears out a room faster than Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band's "Trout Mask Replica."
