New Beatles remasters

I bought 6 of the new remasters today in CD format. Abbey Road, Let It Be, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, Rubber Soul, The White Album. They are discounted at Target to 11.99 buy 2 and get a $5 gift card. Great music and much more natural sound. You can play them at more realistic levels without the compression and glare of the lousy original releases. Your thoughts?

Ok, I ordered late and am now stewing and waiting. I am wondering how Rubber Soul sounds. This to me was just a wonderful album. How does the mono version sound?
Has this been posted yet? Pitchfork's overview with pics of comparison waveforms and reviews of every album?

While the new remasterings are exciting, the fact that they are not available for high res download (96 or 192K) is a huge let down, for me anyway. My credit card will stay firmly tucked away on this one. And while a bluray release would be interesting, its still a compromise in my book.
Why would blu-ray be a compromise? What readily available format would be better?
Bluray requires using the D/A of the bluray player, while downloading flac or wav files can be played directly into a high quality D/A. I have the PS Audio perfectwave dac and have compared the same song in 44.1 vs. 24/96. Obviously the 24/96 was much better.
