Chadnliz, i could have been clearer in my previous post. physical violence was not what i was thinking, but can see how that could be read between the lines. please allow me to clarify.
so a-gon threads become real world meetings, in person, to discuss audio. picture a huge room with many tables. each table is a thread that you sit down and participate in. one table is for an RIP to ms winehouse. i contend that most of her detractors in this thread wouldn't even sit down at that table, let alone inject negative comments. this is what i was referring to regarding being brave. not that anyone would beat your ass if you did....but would you sit at that table and express your "opinion". could be wrong but i think not. why??....because it's classless and disrespectful. most would feel very uncomfortable doing so and simply walk by to the next table. doing so online is much easier. there is no discomfort hiding behind your monitor. it becomes very easy to let it rip and say things you'd "never have the balls to say in person". this is what i meant by being "brave" online.
you don't have to like ms winehouse or her music. you don't have to condone her lifestyle or have sympathy, empathy or any other "thy". again, it's about civility and a tiny shred of respect for fellow human beings. that's all most of us are looking for.
bottom line for me is why come sit at this "table" and inject such comments?. did the OP (person who set up the table) ask for differing thoughts and opinions about ms winehouse's death?. judgmental arrogance and force feeding of opinions seems to have become acceptable in out society. tolerance/respect/civility have become bad words. it's the sign of our times and i hate it.
cheers
