Please forgive my ignorance.....

Can anyone explain /tell what the material 'picture discs' are made of? I ask because, of the two I own, they are significantly thicker and more stiff than 180 or even 200 gr. vinyl.

My purchase was really out of favor for each band and I wanted wall art if all else failed. Well, they really sound pretty good at listening levels.
