What's the deal with the Machina Dynamica Clock?

That characterization of your opinion has emerged as a predominant theme among posters here. Not sure I'd call it "skepticism," though. :-)

Geoff, reading your disagreement to my statement about "replacing the quartz module" let me clarify my statement with a direct quote from your website:

I stand by my previous post. From the issues I raised there, I don't think that anyone with the slightest degree of intelligence could possibly believe that this product could produce ANY audio enhancement.

Fatparrot - Ah, now i see what you meant. I use different brands/models to produce the CLC -- e.g., Timex Intrusion and Sharp LCD travel alarm.

As unbelievable to you that the clock could possibly have any effect on the sound, there are scores who have heard it for themselves. The effects are real and they are quite pronounced.

If the Machina clock does not improve your system then you are not using it properly.
Step one, plug it in the wall
Step two, set the time and the alarm
Step three, wake up early to get to work on time
Step four, establish a standard of getting to work on time
Step five, get a raise for your committment to your company
Step six, take the funds from your raise and upgrade your components.

So you see, it works. It just has a long break in time.

You may be right with respect to my opinion. So far I've not tested the device. The only way I'd consider its purchase is if I were allowed to do a test, blinded, using a couple of bags, as described above by RCPrince.

I didn't state with absolute certainty that it wouldn't be effective.

By the way, thank you for posting to this thread. It is very helpful for the manufacturer to provide input.
