How do you high pass your main speakers?
@tony1954   Why did you select 80Hz for the crossover?  Wouldn't lower be better to avoid the duplication as you say?   I ask because I am still adjusting my subs crossover frequency and have it closer, but still above, the roll off freq of my mai...
Who turns center off when listening to music
For me, when I used a AVR receiver, I would play music with what ever setting I wanted that sounded the best.  There are not rules.   It was fun for live performances to use all 5 channels or at least 3.1.  Usually though, just 2.1.   Now that I a...
Your experience of moving to two subs
I had two SVS subs but was not happy with the quality of the bass for music. I moved to one F12 and I feel the quality is better. However, like the OP, I sense its location in the room and others can too, even though I left one of the SVS subs on ...

All Them Witches is great.  I listen to 7 Horse - new to me.    Thanks.   Check out Fink  - Warm Shadow for example.  And Ghost Town by Darrin Nauendorf.
How do I switch from Wi-Fi to Ethernet cables?
A good example of what @balooo2 o2 is referencing can be seen by going to a YouTube video on right clicking on the screen. This pops up a box and then click stats for nerds. This brings up a data box and one of the stats is buffer health. While we...
How do I switch from Wi-Fi to Ethernet cables?
IMO, even if you pour a bunch of money in your wifi, it will not be as stable as a wired connection.  Follow @cleeds advice and get a bid.
Ethernet opinions
Sorry about your Mom. Just use Blue Jean cables. You won’t tell a difference.
Bluesound Node 2 producing distortion and dropouts
I don't get distortion but do get an occasional drop out.  Mine Node has a wired connection.  I find it is due to a needed upgrade or my device (new ipad or Node) needing a reboot or software restart, or just a function of my ISP.   We usually reb...
What is the proper loudness for listening?
I like 70  to 85 dB.  Does not sound as good and feels pushed on me if it gets louder.
Subwoofer - thoughts on Rythmic F12
Hi everyone. I received my F12 - looks great and well packed, and seemed very solid and well made. Unfortunately it was the wrong model. I ordered the PEQ3 but was sent the XLR3. What is crazy is the box was mislabeled so no way for the shipping w...
REL Carbon Special Subwoofers or the REL G1 Gibraltar Reference Subwoo
@mijostyn  This is interesting.   Your speakers cross to the midrange at 500 Hz. This means your woofers carry a significant amount of midrange. Middle C is 254 Hz. Removing the bass below 100 Hz will definitely lower distortion noticeably in th...
Premium Power Cable Survey: The Results Are IN
Interesting.  Lots of work !!  Thanks. I would want to know the technical background/engineering degrees/# of power systems design type info.  And certainly whether it was blind testing.
Injecting one sub to Benchmark system…
@m-db  This is exactly what I did.
Does anybody pay a pro to dial their system in?
Sorry if this has been asked, but what is your source?  Any chance the signal in is the reason?  That amp and dac are solid.
Subwoofer - thoughts on Rythmic F12
Hey everyone.  Thanks for the advice.  Very helpful.  I ordered an F12 yesterday with the speaker level, LFE, and line in level inputs.   Since Friday, I disconnected both subs, and have been liking the base better with just the speakers (F208) - ...
