| Has anyone had success with a preamp with a Marantz PM 8006? Why would you want to use a separate preamp with that? It has its own preamp built in. The Marantz preamp section usually sounds pretty good, unless you want to try tube preamp for some flavor. | |

| Topping D90 bass bloat? Try the different filter settings that the topping provides. One might help. I have a few topping dacs, and they do tend to have a deep bass response. Also try some different cables between the dac and the preamp. | |
