Review: Coincident Speaker Technology Statement Linestage Tube preamp You have a great Coincident Technology system. Each piece is probably the best available at anywhere near their price.
Review: Einstein The Tube Linestage Tube preamp Thanks Roxy. I can't wait myself.
what the best amps run revel salon2 stronger bass Actually I own a Pass Labs XA 100.5 amp. It is quite good, but I also own a Clayton M200 amp and it is better in just about every category I can think of. The Clayton is the most true to the signal of any solid state amp I have evr heard. And it h...
Best value amplifier under or near $6K The Clayton M200 Class A amps list at $9,500, but I have seen used models on Audiogon for under $5,000. These are incredble amps and the most accurate to the signal amps I have ever heard. And at 200 watts of great clean Class A power it can drive...
Amplifiers:A Keeper for Life. Do you know of one ? In the solid stae realm, all the Clayton Class A amps are great. The sweet spot is the Clayton M200 at MSRP $9,500 of 200 watts/channel of pure Class A goodness.Next on the list would be the McCormack DNA-500 with a bit denser and more liquid soun...
Preamp Options The Coincident Technologies Line Stage is an incredible pre-amp and by far the best one can get at $5,000. The only downside is it only has two inputs and no remote. Sound-wise, you won't find a better unit. Coincident also makes a great phono sta...
Solid State Power Amps That Sound Most Like Tubes? The best solid state amps that have tube-like characteristics I have ever heard that are reasonabl;y priced are the Clayton S40 amps (the MSRP is $2,950 & I'm sure are about half that price on the used market) and the Clayton M100 (which I hav...
The Hub: No moving parts? No problem! Having heard the Lansche plasma tweeters -- they are incredible. They produce ZERO ozone, as it is all converted to pure oxygen.
The best tweeter design I'll take the Lansche plasma tweeters. Zero mass, no ozone production (as it is converted into pure Oxygen). The sound is incredible.
Review: Einstein The Tube Linestage Tube preamp I just bought the Einstein The Tube Mark II Linestage and the Einstein The Light in the Dark stereo amplifier. Sometime within the next month I will be able to move into my house and will also be receiving the Lansche No. 5 speakers with the plasm...
Small Preamplifier choices? The Doge 8 preamp at about $1,500 is the best pre-amp I have heard under $4,000. It also has a very good phono section. It is a steal at its price and if you can find one used, even more so.
Tube Integrated with Headphone The Leben CS-300X is an excellent integrated at MSRP $3,295 and is 15 watts/channel with a top drawer headphone outlet. It even looks like a vintage piece and is beautiful to behold. With the proper speaker it makes beautiful music.
Preamp suggestion The LSA Standard integrated at 150 watts/channel into 8 ohms fits your budget. They are also upgradeable to the LSA Signature or the LSA Statement for just the price difference, if you ever feel you want more pefomance.
Think I want a tube system? For an excellent tube set-up a Leben Integrated tube amp would be a good start, although there are other fine integrated tube amps. Along with a relatively easy to drive speaker system, such as Harbeth, Devore, Vaughn (direct-buy), Coincident Tech...
what the best amps run revel salon2 stronger bass Excuse me, I meant the McCormack DNA-500 and the Clayton M200 are both better than any Krell, Levinson, or McIntosh amps. |
