| Transformer coupled outputs/inputs in preamplifiers. Best case in point are Wavac pre- and power amps: all transformer coupled with nary a capacitor in sight. Sheer audiophile bliss, conveying an immediacy and colour saturation that in my estimation hasn‘t been bettered. |
