Best type of metal for turntable platform?
I need some feet under a TT plinth (which just nothing fancy, just about 6" stack of Baltic Birch ply) and was thinking of trying the Townsend Pods. Would I divide my roughly 100lb load by 4 and use 4x pods that accommodate roughly 25lb each?
Artists you feel you can rely on, buy any new album unheard.
I dunno if dead artists count as new. The problem with great artists is that almost always they live long enough to make some garbage. Few exceptions. You gotta be really dedicated to love an artist at their worst!
Finally found THE SPEAKER!!!
I want to hear these! My first job out of college was working at Danetracks, if you know them or Dane.

Wow that's fantastic, thanks so much both of you!

@grinnell That was the plan, or thick acrylic. It’s mostly the metal frame/joints I’m interested in.

Interconnects under floor?
@tvad There we go, thank you! I knew I’d seen them somewhere, albeit not at my local store. This should do the trick and hopefully not allow any mice in. Was trying to accomplish without buying new cables, so I might need to remove my XLR and Fisc...
Interconnects under floor?
@tvad What did you use for for wall plates? Did you use XLR connector plates or did you have some kind of opening that allows the cables to run directly in/out of your receptacles? I’ve used XLR plates in recording studios but curious if adding 2 ...

Dedicated line questions...
I've done this in 2 homes now in the last 6 months. 2 lines of 10/2 under the house through 50 ft of crawspace, commando style. I recommend assessing how much physical pain you're willing to endure vs how much money your electrician will charge.
