Midrange Better Than Harbeth or Spendor?
I can certainly understand in principal some of the adavantages of a single driver, but have never heard one myself. Which would you recommend that can match or surpass the clean and refined sound of the Harbeths or Spendors?
Midrange Better Than Harbeth or Spendor?
Thank you for the response and recommendation. I think you are correct regarding my taste and the dip at 2-4Khz which is probably good in my small and somewhat reflective room. The metal tweeters seem to help the speakers retain some of the bite o...

McIntosh MCD 201/ spec info
I don't know the specs, but I have listened to it in an all Mac system. Very smooth and musical. But - the transport is noisy (too noisy for my room and listening position) and there have been problems reading some CD's. The later problem may be r...
McIntosh MCD201?
I recently listened to the MCD201 and found the CD playback to sound fantastic, very smooth & musical. However, the transport was too noisy for my small room. If you can place it in a cabinet or far enough away from your listening position, it...
are spike threads standard for speakers legacy
My Dali's spikes are a metric #8. I cut the heads off of some bolts purchased at Home Depot and used thick rubber washers with a hole in the center to create rubber feet instead of spikes to use on hard wood floors. They work as well as spikes wit...

Thanks everyone for your comments. Is there any reason to go larger than 14 gage for a 15' run for speakers? Any benefit to 12 or 10 gage for that length? Thanks,-Bill
