Going to be a little sarcastic. The best phono cartridge in the world is the one you heard years ago in an audio shop when your hearing was still sensitive. It was the first really good one you heard and it left an indelible impression on you.

My OHM Walsh 5000s speakers I bought in 2012. My sister had a smaller pair in the mid eighties. The ones I got in 2012 can play louder and with more realism.

Erik, my room is 13x10x8. I have acoustically treated it pretty well. The speakers are on the long side. Thanks for everyone's input. I really do appreciate it. I'm resting a little easier in that I hear otber members battling sibilance too.
