rebbi, arro & 302b is way to go for your budget. As a CURRENT owner of Arros for 5 years+ and having matched with 302b and other tube & SS amps, I can confidently recommend this combo.Email me if you have more questions.
PrimaLuna Prologue 8 CD Player Sound
Upscale, did not intend to disrespect Primaluna in anyway, if anything, everything I hear about Primaluna/Upscale is classy & top notch!Just that primaluna founders are people who tweaked Marantz CD players (Ah Tjoeb)...is it really then Maran...
PrimaLuna Prologue 8 CD Player Sound
Can't vouch for the some being good or bad...however, not so inspiring looks due to fact this CD player's parts were lifted/slapped together from various CAYIN products.Check out Prima's OEM's website: www.sparkaudio.com
matching the Arros
I've used NAD, Jolida, Bryston, Marantz, Cayin...all have their strengths and pleasant sounding. However, as stated before a slightly warmer tube amp is the way to go.Use a descently powered EL34 based tube amp and that is the way to go.
Shengya,Kavent,Vincent -all the same
Don't know about Kavent, but do a search in discussion forums "vincent" and see my comments about Shengya Cd player I bought.Bonger
Totem response re: recommended tube amp for Sttaf
djh,I'll say what other have said already and hope this gives you full confidence for tubes and sttafs. My system was previously mated with sttafs & cayin a88t. there was never a problem with enough power. speakers sounded lively, open, just ov...
Tape Out as Subwoofer Output?
thanks guys, your're so right...forgot about the fixed volume output, I guess I can use "high level" inputs.
Tube upgrades for Jolida 502B?
Replaced stock Shuguang KT88's with Tung-sol 6550 reissues on my Cayin amp used with Totem's also...right away there was a noticeable improvement.Tung-sol's have all the bass of the Shuguang's but, slightly better imaging & resolution, tighter...
Cayin A-88T or Conrad Johnson CAV50?
Don't know which amp is better, however check out this link:http://www.rodclark.com/prologue.htmOwner seem knowledgable, credible and most of all, previously had cav50 and replaced it with a Primaluna Prologue 2. In NO way am I saying Cayin A88T =...
Totem Arro Vs. Sttaf
Upgraded to the Sttaf's from my Arros....I still miss my Arros. It's not buyer remorse, but I have to say Sttaf & Arros have different strengths. Choose one or the other depending on what you are looking for and your room size.Arros Pros: bett...
Anyone have honest opinion of Jolida amps?
Still miss my 302b after I sold it a year ago. Jolida doesn't have the ulitmate top notch build quality like higher end tube co's, but I tell you it's definetly one musical amp and a very good deal esp. if you buy it used.Though I didn't have reli...
Cayin A88T break in and biasing??
This amp is NOT AUTOBIASING. I owned a Jolida 302 also and now the a88t and it needs at least 10 hours breakin before sound improves. Here's the biasing instructions graciously provided to me by another Cayin owner:"Unless you swap out tubes, you d...
onkyo vs. Marantz A/V recievers which better?
Don't know much about the Onkyo but can definetely vouch for the Marantz.I own the Marantz SR5600 precedesor of the 5001. 2 channel is a good as it gets for it price range, superb quality sound (read my review in audioreview). Yamaha/Denon might b...
Sounds like a $5000 Integrated amp but only $1600

Vincent Products
Mechans is partially correct regarding Shengya. To elaborate from my previous posting, I bought the CD player Shengya S10CS from local Chinatown electronics dealer that's been around for at least a decade. This place is legitimate, there lots of cu...
