@liamowen +1 one last thing.  I get what people say about bias. But my ears are not biased. My ears will not let my mind lie to me! lol . If smthg sounds good it sounds good. If it cost more or cost less good is good if I can save and get better ...

Look I trust my ear. There is a particular sound I’m fond of. My ears identify it and are drawn to it. Not letting someone else tell me not to trust my own ears

@viridian exactly.  Trust yourself and your own experiences.  You are the one living with it. Most will argue that they have a secret formula. But they don’t even know how you like your music.  They don’t know your equipment etc. trust yourself.

@benanders because of my listening space. I can’t. A lot of us audiophiles are limited in where we can place things and the room itself.

Time to have a real conversation.  I see a lot of comments about placebo. I hear a lot of comments that cables can’t make differences and components that are a certain price are a waste of money.  I try to comment on what I have heard. I can’t tel...

I’m not dissing measurements.  They are not that important to me as what my ears hear.  The joy the music brings.  My ears tell depth width detail soundstage and musicality. They are what I depend on the most.

I use my ears always.  I’m in it to enjoy my music. I dilly around with speaker placement a little. I get my gear in place and make sure it’s properly cabled and and set up and I’m happy. I’m not in it for a science project. I’m in it for the joy ...

@vitussl101 the truth is you really got to spend a little to get up to the exceptional gear.  With proper matching it sounds great.

I think some think there is one good sound when there are actual many types of goood sounds that different systems can bring you.

@lemonhaze most of us don’t have dedicated listening rooms.  All house condos etc are not built for music systems or audio. Some of us have all kinds of things going on room wise. But it doesn’t have to limit you if you get great gear that has syn...

@frankmc195 we don’t know when to quit. I think I’m at a point where I’m good. Changing one thing can screw up my entire chain and sound now!
