BEST little know Jazz Album that you ever heard? Have experienced phenomenal jazz recordings for decades, but, "The Unforgettable NHOP Trio Live" is off the chain. Niels does not play bass, he attacks it! Thank you for the heads up. He is on another level, along with his mates. This is a s...
Have we lost civility and respect on Audio forums? My premise; I'm surrounded by sociopaths operating at various levels of practice. That may seem extreme, but the amount of dysphoria these days is proof enough. Rather simple; it's positive and constructive, or it's negative and destructive. ...
Because the word TECH is there. My layman's understanding is that the software development triangle states: You can have it fast, cheap, right. Pick any two, the third an outlier. As a former contract traveler in radiology for a decade, I had the pleasure of experiencing tech...
SS Integrated Amp for Tannoy Turnberry GR Speakers @oldschool1948 Sorry if I mislead. I'm using ATC 20 passives which are non-ported so difficult to drive.
SS Integrated Amp for Tannoy Turnberry GR Speakers I run the Luxman 509X which is superb and an older Sugden A21SE at 33 wpc Class A of course and it is also superb. You cannot go wrong here. Accuphase is most likely also wonderful. They will all work.
Troubleshooting Rega Brio-R Amp Issue @imhififan 1+ Most likely the simplest thing will be the thing that's wrong. Or, that input selected is bad in one channel. You only list one source, the RP1.

Holy Grail Analogue Recording Big Band found! Thank you for suggestions. I've all of Gordon Goodwin's recordings. Guess what? My favorite watering genius, Bernie Grundman.
Holy Grail Analogue Recording Big Band found! Highest caliber musicianship that should not only be enjoyed and appreciated, but carefully studied by practitioners of the art. These recordings are a pure clinic in tight ensemble work, balance of sections and outrageous solo work. These guys ...

Higher-End Class A/B vs. Class A Integrateds It's a matter of execution. I've a Sugden Class A 33 wpc, Luxman A/B 120 wpc. They sound different, but both drive well the ATC 20s, sealed cabinet. Both exhibit lots of control and drive. I would suppose the right difficult load could present ...
As An Experiment I Stuck A Few Things Under My Pre-Amp And Am Now On A Quest Not arguing with Townshend product as I run their podiums under my floor standers. I've lots of systems experience with Quadraspire SVT and Reference X racks. They've done a lot of the heavy lift addressing multiple areas of vibration control. ...
Anyone else using slugs instead of fuses? Comments on metals used and sound please Rod Serling would say: Entertain the thought that the OP is having you on. While none of you've a shred of observed evidence that any of the OP's statements are true, you've plunged head-on into a frenzy of damnation. Perhaps it's all a prevaric... |
