Does Every Track Sound Great on Your System?
Every track sounds good. This is a tribute to professional engineers. They captured the sound. It's up to us to extract it from the grooves/pits/tape.  For the pros, their living depends on getting great sound. For us, it's just enjoyment.
Anyone listen to entire albums?
When your system is good, you can't help but flip the record over to hear side two. After cleaning the stylus.
Music first or sound first?
The left side of the brain listens to the gear, the right side to the music. Turn off the left side, relax and enjoy the music. That said I'm always on the hunt for new gear. Which is why we're reading this blog right? Looking for ways to improve ...

What happens when the stylus tip wears out on a $12,000 cartridge?
Use Stylast on every play and the issue will never come up. My dealer looked at my 5 year old Benz under the microscope and said it looked brand new. This thing got daily use. * Also sounds better. This won't help with enthusiastic kids or clean...
Ultimate Turntable search...OMA K5 or ?
The Nagra turntable and arm has no noise. What I thought was noise from residual dirt in the groove (in other record players) was in fact residual noise from the record player. Somehow Nagra managed to drain all the noise out. Vinyl continues to s...

@mahler 123 Jealous. Vy jealous.
Henry Fogel
Mr. Fogel is a pillar of the community. If you wouldn't mind could you ask Mr. Fogel to post the details of his sound system? I'd be fascinated although he probably considers the gear to be inconsequential. Like many music collectors. I know him ...

Why is it necessary to have a switch AND a router?
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HATE FOR THE HIGH END GEAR ON AUDIO GEAR?
Ego tripping. When men were men and dinos roamed the earth there was Usenet populated by knowledgeable guys having knowledgeable civilized discussions. It was naturally self selecting cuz you had to be an academic or work for a think tank to know...
Big speakers, are they really the best way to get great sound?
Big speaker small room. Big speaker small room Part Deux. * Klipsch Jubilee
Have you found your "End-Game" speakers yet? I have. And it feels so good!!!
Your in between speaker becomes your endgame speaker if you can't find anything that's better in all respects. Got Eminent Technology ET8's in the last century and now they're upgraded to the Super 8 (added backward firing woofers).  So happy to ...
HAVE YOU ARRIVED AT YOUR FINAL SYSTEM AND WHAT’S IN IT? WHAT ARTIST IS YOUR GO TO?
Embrace the healing power of AND. Cheap speakers AND expensive amps. Eminent Technology LFT 8 speakers. Despite being in production since the last century and (glowing) reviews in Absolute Sound, Stereophile AND the Audiophiliac, the LFT 8 remai...
