Killer Floor Standing Speakers under $4000 for Rock?
Elac Uni-fi
Resale value
Yes, I generally only buy used equipment that I can sell for around the same price now.Losing $1000+ on a new equipment is unacceptable.
Rythmik subwoofers?
Rythmic is overpriced had the F15 and another a 12 inch in a past life.. The best sub for music is the JBL LSR310s, buy them used and you can get it for around $250. The pro JBL sub got crazy resolution even in the deep bass.
SVS Speakers or Something Else? Absolutely Newbie.
AV receivers are the best buys in audio nowadays, short of going fully active monitor.
Do I need speakers upgrade?
What you need is a loudness curve, eg, dynamic EQ.

At that price range, low sensitivity speaker gives better bass. It’s the laws of physics. Watts are cheap now with receivers, you want to put those watts to use, vs using less than 1 watt per speaker. A $500 receiver can easily pump out 500 watts ...

Get the Elac B5 instead. 7 speakers for $700, another $200 for subwoofer. Then get a $500ish reciever (denon or onkyo) + bulk mogami speaker cable (cut them to length, use them raw). You’ll have a killer setup.Edit: actually, you still need speake...
Possible sound deterioration adding subwoofer between amp and speakers
B&W CDM1 is a two way? It would benefit from higher crossover, 80hz, or even up to 120hz. Just put the sub between the two speakers. Also, make sure you have bass management to cut the low frequencies from the speakers + time align them.
Why So Many Raidho Speaker For Sale?
Audiophile market is one gigantic scam, stick with the mainstream market.
Starting from scratch, passion for "steals"
KEF LS50 Wireless, all in one.
2.0 Stereo speakers on a $2000 budget?
Active version of  KEF LS50 called the  LS50 Wireless is coming out, it's going to be game changing.
What is going on? No-one buys good stuff priced right.
I sold it all just before the market collapsed.Small and cheap beats big and expensive.
What in the world is going on.....
Technologies have moved on. A receiver + Elac speaker + mogami cable is all you need.
newbie DAC question
@kremrik no, not just that. With AV receiver you get room correction, bass management, upmixing, downmixing, object audio (3D audio), and some even got loudness curves (Audyssey DynamicEQ rocks, Audyssey room correction itself sucks though). Plus ...
