What makes an expensive speaker expensive
You need help with your math and logic.
Green Mountain Audio Chroma HX Review
There are many reasons a designer chooses the drivers they do, and excludes the ones they don't. It depends on what they are trying to achieve. The out of band ringing of Accuton drivers make them a terrible choice for a first order crossover. If ...
Green Mountain Audio Chroma HX Review
There are quite a few speakers out there that not only don't fulfill this definition but does a disservice by misleading us into thinking we are hearing high quality sound. So why do you insist on harping on only one of them, and for years at t...
Green Mountain Audio Chroma HX Review
Why all of the carrying on about Green Mountain Audio and why has it been going on for so long? You don't come across as a savior, you come across as pathetic. I have yet to see any YouTube video that told me anything about how any system sounds, ...
How about a list of speakers that are time and phase coherent? Thiels and what else?
I was referring to severe peaks and dips. It is still not true.  If time coherence was that important every manufacturer would be doing it.And every audiophile would insist on it. Another untrue statement. It is difficult to do correctly for ...
How about a list of speakers that are time and phase coherent? Thiels and what else?
If you give me your green mountains, I'll make them sound ten times better just by upgrading the crossover. Maybe you should design, build and market your own speakers. Then you won't have to spend any more time looking for the perfect sound a...
How about a list of speakers that are time and phase coherent? Thiels and what else?
@prof The new Meadowlark speakers are coherent. They are fully active with onboard DAC and they have amps for each driver. The older Meadowlark offerings were a more traditional coherent speaker. Like the newer Meadowlark, the Gaylen Sanders are f...
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
The conclusion is that wire directionality does not matter when dealing with wires of relatively short length (50 cm). Amen. The only conclusion you can draw is that you didn't hear a difference in your system and in your room.
Talk but not walk?
Things come and go all of the time. If this forum dies, so what? Audio is your gravy, so I understand why you would get upset if it goes away. Heck, you have been here selling since your first post. Every time the bow wave dies down, you come back...
Talk but not walk?
If any one should be banned, it is the person calling for censorship in the forums. I have followed this train wreck of a thread from the beginning. There has been plenty of trolling from both sides. Heck, the OP admitted at one point to trolling ...

Michael, you post a link to room tunes on your site. Yet nowhere in the link does it give a price for a basic room tune pack. In fact, there are no prices for anything. What gives? I have looked around on the site before and have had the same resu...
New Audiogon equipment search format.
@tonykay In the upper right corner of the search there is a drop down menu. It allows you to select the classic view for searches. Once I selected that, I have not had to look at the grid view. Once you have made the selection, it stays in the cla...
New Look for Audiogon hard to work with
@philipwu   Do you have cookies disabled? When the latest changes were implemented, Audiogon stated that your search selection would be saved by the use of cookies. That would keep you from needing to select your search choice each time. I am not ...
Audiogon screws up their site even more
Thanks to Agon for listening to your members.

That place seems more like Toontown. I keep waiting for Roger Rabbit to pop up. P-P-P-P-leeeeease!
