How to tame a bright system?
If the unpleasantness appeared with the AQ Fire why don’t you get something else that’s not harsh?
Tannoy Stirlings on the way!
Question: Are any of you using the 3rd binding post?  If so, did you find 3-wire speaker cables, or are you using a separate wire?  Do you find it actually gives your Tannoys a quieter background? Higher end van den Hul speaker cables were designe...
Audioquest Firebird Zero
I owned the Thunderbird Zeros for a couple of years. They are miles ahead of what the Silversmith Fideliums will do for you. I had the Fideliums at home for a couple of weeks. They weren’t that great. Nice bass, huge loss of high end detail with t...
SPL (Sound Performance Lab) - Professional Fidelity series?
I've had a new Elektor playing for about three days and I have to say that it's startlingly good. I had idea what my equipment was capable of. In the immortal words of Dr. Channard, "And to think...I hesitated."

VDH The First vs The First Ultimate MKII
I found the vdH Orchids had a lot more detail than the First without being harsh. No experience with the MKII. The Seconds I had were a little dark.
A pitch too High!
Level the platter and check the azimuth.
VDH cable advise
I don't know for sure. The first vdH speaker cables I used were Magnum Hybrids. So I've never heard non - hybrids. The 1st and 2nds are gone from the vdH site so I'm not sure what they were. I know they were the first non - metallic cables they ma...

All Van den Hul. Mountain interconnects, Cumulus speaker cables, and Mainsstream and Mainsserver power cables.  I tried several brands of interconnects first and couldn't find any that sounded any better than the vdH Orchids I was replacing. The o...
Speaker cable recommendations for Pass Labs INT-250 & Dynaudio HS
You can have home trials of the Silversmith and Zavfino cables. I'd definitely try them first if I were you. I had the Silversmith Fideliums for a couple of weeks and sent them back. They lost too much detail and space for me. I also bought five Z...
$39K for the Linn Klimax DAC/streamer?
Don’t worry. They’ll provide an upgrade plan.

A pitch too High!
https://www.vandenhul.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Phono_FAQ.pdfVery helpful info. Dr. VdH recommends having the counterweight end 7 - 9mm higher and there’s a setup order. I followed his instructions and my turntable is set up perfectly.
A pitch too High!
Is your tonearm still lowering toward the outside of your record? Is the curved bar that the tonearm sits on when you raise and lower it level? Might wanna check it.Turntable setup is very basic. Take your time and you’ll figure it out.
