Simple question, or is it...
No it's an electrical description of the audio signal of the analog sound. Making the electricity vary between positive and negative at the speed and amplitude of the sound makes the speaker reproduce the sound. It's continuous but not in a linear...
What your choice speakers with spikes or speakers with a vibration isolation device?
I just use the spikes that came with the speaker.

I doubt anyone has a stereo system in a vacuum. Anyway speaker wire doesn’t carry audio signals but an electrical description of the audio. That electrical pulse is carried in the wire mostly the outer 1/3 of the wire.

That was in response to this "That which is hidden from the most learned is revealed to mere children."
Roon (Nucleus+) Dilemma
If you know how to get into your router you should give the Sony a static address. If the address changes roon will lose it and you'll need to look for it again.

Toss in some Babble verses and it's a show that never ends.
has anybody else noticed this about flac audio?
I didn't hear any differences in the two files. I listened carefully and switched back and forth every few seconds. It's possible there is a slight difference since I didn't expect to hear any and it wasn't a controlled test.
Roon (Nucleus+) Dilemma
You might try \\ip address of HAP \HAP_internalSee if you can map it in windows explorer, if so try the same format in roon
Should I use RCA cables or Digital cables for interconnects
Using digital out bypasses the DAC. If you use digital out on the Ruby and use the DAC on the 8805 it won't play the SACD layer on the CD, you would need to use the RCA analog output for SACD.

No never noticed that about FLAC.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Speaker cable arrows???
Annealing where recrystalization occurs makes copper wire more ductile. No hammers required.
Speaker cable arrows???
I pulled it from how copper wire is manufactured. I know very little about it and this directional idea got me wondering as it made no sense to me. So I went and found out as much as I could on how they take copoer from the ore stage to the final ...
Articles You Feel Should be Shared
Interesting article on sound reproduction and room acoustics. Some of us can't have dedicated rooms and it's nice to see a book that helps get a good sound in a normal room environment. I agree on the subjective evaluation of audio equipment espec...
Speaker cable arrows???
After they pull wire it goes through annealing and recrystalization occurs. Controlled for direction is market speak. The current doesn't care a whit which way the wire is oriented.
