Do active speakers interest you? Also, let's talk directivity
I'm not as knowledgeable as most here and I know active doesn't mean all in the box but that's the way most are configured. There is a new company in Germany GGNTKT who uses an external box with the amps, crossovers and I believe DSP but not sure ...

you stay digital up to the amps you can do all the processing including crossovers in a digital preamp and do one DA conversion just before the amps.I stay digital all the way to the speakers.

Yes, I wasn’t trying for the BBC curve. I use a 1db drop from 1khz to 20khz but my speakers are very flat through that range which is why I suggested maybe up to 3db or just get some Revel 228be. If we could see a graph would help a lot in figurin...

Active generally means amp in the speaker if the speaker employs DSP there will also be AD/DA conversion. There are some that have the amps and active crossovers in a seperate box. This is why I don't think these types of speakers will appeal to v...

Keep at it the future is active less intrusive speakers that offer great sound. There are companies, mostly in Europe, doing this now. Some of the best sounding speakers anywhere are active. I would suggest DSP or the ability to load filters shoul...

Try REW. Create a house curve -1db starting 1000 hz through 20khz. Adjust as needed might need as much as -3db. That will get rid of the high frequency tilt used to make these speakers sound good in the store. Or just get a pair of Revel 228be.

There is a floor stand speaker  I would love to hear and if I had the room and money would give them a try. Kii3 BXT. https://almaaudio.com/products/kii-three-bxt-complete-system?variant=29324985040949&currency=USD...

I don't think you'll get a consensus. Could I be fully satisfied with small speakers? Probably not. Could I be fully satisfied with stand mount speakers? Yes.
I have been a stickler about keeping power cables away from signal cables...on equipment ?
I have my power cable, AES3 cable and ethernet cable all running parallel and strapped together from my speakers to where they separate and go to their particular device, streamer, switch and surge protector/ power conditioner. I kept them apart f...
A Very Useful New Discovery--EON Digital Filter from Network Acoustics
That doesn't tell us anything other than the device specs. Connect it to a DAC and measure the output of the analog, remove the ENO and measure the same DAC. Has the DACs SINAD improved? That's how you find out if it works.

When you know science and reason has lost the war is when you have people claiming that those who want to see evidence to support observation is considered on par with Qanon nuts and subjective claims are considered the gold standard. I think it's...
