House Amperage vs Stereo Amperage Not sure if this is true but I read that if you wind the power cord or extension cord in a circle, say 6-7 times, when lightning strikes, the cord will melt like a fuse.No charge for that one :)
Which Threshold s are best? Any word if Jon is still in business, the www.vintageamp.com site has been down for a week now, though I did find an old cached site on google:http://216.239.41.104/search?q=cache:dthb6U_HCYMJ:www.rsvlonline.net/vintageamp/+jon+soderberg+forte+vin...
Any women looking at this add Please reply Is there an AA (Audiophile Anonymous) in your area? I was bitten a long time ago but have been very frugal in my purchases. Hope your hubby is the same. Cheers.
House Amperage vs Stereo Amperage Many thanks for all the help. Initially I felt my question might have been too "newbie" but I find my others concerns were answered too, like a dedicated 20 amp line etc. I love this room!
Forte amplifiers: design and specifications FYI Oh, almost forgot. I wanted to know what years Forte manufactured the Model 4, and 4A? The Audiogon bluebooksays 91 but I wasn't sure what the oldest date is.
Forte amplifiers: design and specifications FYI Thanks guys! You read my mind and hit the nail on the head. I was thinking only the Forte Model 4A was Class A. Now my options opened up just a little more with Model 4 as well.
Forte amplifiers: design and specifications FYI I was under the impression that the Model 4 was A/B and the 4A was Class A. Wish Threshold has some literature on their old line. Can anyone recommend another Class A amp still in recent production under $1,000? |
