Fleetwood Deville vs Wilson Sound
Another speaker I tried recent that surprised me a bit was the Focal Maestro + Scala. The vocals/mid range on that is very clean without that tipping point of over doing it like on the Magicos.    The Magicos are really interesting to me because...
Fleetwood Deville vs Wilson Sound
I listened to both the Wilsons and Magicos and they are definitely quite amazing in their own way. I am unsure why Wilson gets so much hate. The Devilles definitely hold their own and I appreciate them even more after these recent comparisons. My ...
Upgraded from Node to 432-evo-aeon-music-server and its another world sonically
Antipodes is another great server brand!
Fleetwood Deville vs Wilson Sound
Comparing 2 dissimilar speaker designs does still satisfy curiosity in some form, regardless if actually interested in purchasing or not (demoing tomorrow at audio excellence canada)   Sure, Mere words will not tell you how it sounds, but was ju...
Fleetwood Deville vs Wilson Sound
Sasha V, since that is there newest model. For the poster mentioning "base" I am pretty sure he meant bass. I still feel the Fleeetwood Devilles are being slept on quite a bit. Not enough people know about them and how great they sound, imo at l...
Fleetwood Deville vs Wilson Sound
That was pretty good and is in line of what I would sort of expect comparison wise. What is bard? The vocals coming from the Devilles are quite something special for sure.
Best EXTERNAL DAC suggestions
Best DAC I ever tried and used myself was the Playback Designs MPD6. I liked it so much that I traded in my MPD6 for the MPD8. I am not the type to spend 20k+ on DACs... first time for me.
New Technics SU-G700 Mk II on the horizon
If you use your own separate DAC and connect a digital cable (S/PDIF) to the Technics amp, there would be too much back and forth converting (digital to analog to digital to analog). If one uses their own external dac connecting with an analog c...
DAC Shootout Starts This Weekend
I use a K50 from antipodes, I was considering the plink streamer but also felt in a way I am boxing myself to this combination where as the K50 can be a little more versatile. I should mention that already having the K50 prior to mpd6 played a big...
DAC Shootout Starts This Weekend
Wow what no responses since 11/14/2022? Anyways I have received my playback mpd-6 and it is an absolute joy. Truly an endorphin pumping machine. I have had in my past: 1. chord dave 2. holo may 3. benchmark dac 4. sagra I like the mpd6 the ...
DAC Shootout Starts This Weekend
Just finalized my purchase with Scott from Verdant Audio, I ended up choosing the MPD6 from Playback Designs. Easy to work with, smooth transaction. Pretty excited, ships around Feb.
Puritan PSM156
Beautifully said
Puritan PSM156
I find it very interesting that people can have such a strong preference for either one of them, if I were to guess, I would have guessed that they are pretty "similar" in performance.   I wonder how much of this is just bias as to what they hav...
Puritan PSM156
What made you like the Puritan over Inakustik?   Inakustik visually looks more appealing to me and better built, that must say a LOT about Puritan then.
Cheap tweaks...What would YOU reccomend?
^ Sorry the company name is Network Acoustics, their main item is called the ENO or the MUON, an ethernet filter placed in the chain prior to the streamer and after the ethernet network switch.
