Now they're planning the crime of the century A preference for "Even in The Quietest Moments" myself, and Fool's Overture, in particular. Love Hodgson. "We shall never surrender."
Jazz for aficionados @pjw81563No time now for a longer response to your several recent posts but thank you very much for the Duane Allman/jazz connections link. That is a great article and warrants re-reading; not to mention checking out RR Kirk's music. THANK YOU f...
Jazz for aficionados @pjw81563I enjoyed reading your Hendrix "appreciation". Don’t know that I hold him in the exact same high esteem you do, but I’m not prepared to argue against it. An innovator, good lyricist (at his best, a poet) and gifted with an ear for beautif...

Jazz for aficionados Sorry. Should have warned you, keegiam. That’s why they call me, "thread killer". Radio silence after I responded to your Ralph Towner post.
Can the need for novelty and change be mitigated by rotation? Periodically changing out gear (4 amps; 2 different floor standers) works for me too, though I tend to go a few months in between. Keeps the sound fresh with, as you say, each "new" setup having its own virtues.
Tube Rolling Woes Hello Glen - I own the first gen Freya so am speaking from that experience. Hope it is relevant.-Have you confirmed a proper impedance match between pre and amp? -My next thought is be patient. 75 hours might be enough for the tubes but maybe not ...
