Van Morrison - Three Chords & The Truth@dougsat I think you are right about Three Chords....seems like it's gonna bear up to repeated listening. Van KNOWS how to pick a backing band. Great arrangements (as per usual with him). Excellent sonics...

@bdp24 Thanks for the comments.  Another case of "concert-envy".  Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.  Don't get me started about Steve Winwood.  Agree with you - one of the greatest rock vocalists (and not a bad GITtar player either...not only organ).  D...

@dougsat Have not heard Three Chords.  I probably have more Van Morrison than any other artist (well, except maybe Dylan) but not that one.  The latest Van M. I spent a lot of time with was Keep It Simple (2008).  I have Born To Sing from 2012, bu...

@mrdecibel FWIW - It seems the aforementioned Jazz Pistols were/are fans too of Weather Report and Heavy Weather in particular. They’ve covered Birdland, Teen Town, & Palladium on various of their studio albums and all three are included on the...

Thank you, mahgister.  Duly noted.  I'll see if I can find the Moravec Chopin.  That's probably of most interest to me.  Best regards.

@mahgister & @pkg1 Okay...I'll bite.  Do you have a currently available piano recording on CD that might serve as reference?  Label, artist, composition, please.  THANKS much.

Thanks for the comments, u. I am new to IQ and not exactly smitten (yet?) but willing to invest more time. Came across them only recently, probably by way of a "similar albums" listing on the AllMusic Guide. I’ll be certain to check out Nomzamo an...

IQ - SubterraneaMusic with a big debt to Genesis but not quite as inspired...or so I think right now. Only part way through this one. SQ is very very good.  Vocalist has an excellent voice. Overall style is kinda like Genesis runs into Rush on Bro...
