REL subwoofer using only red cable not yellow per REL technical dept
@wolf_garcia - yes, I got that from their website:Here they’re talking about "Balanced/Differential/Class D" connection. When doing so, please combine red and yellow leads together to form a single composite “+” or “hot” conductor as shown in the d...
REL subwoofer using only red cable not yellow per REL technical dept
Yep, they have the "Subwoofer Finder" tool, and suggest what sub(s) to use, but don't mention anything in that tool about using monoblocks, they only ask what type of speakers. Lots of helpful information on that site, and it would be worthwhile r...
REL subwoofer using only red cable not yellow per REL technical dept
Would anyone know if there’s a hum using a single Pass Labs monoblockwith a single Rel Subwoofer via speakon connection? Rel Acoustics claims you need to connect 2 subs when using monoblocks.
watt puppy 5 base woofer surround replacement
Too bad he didn't mention where he's from in Canada. I've gone through his situation of refoaming Wilson speakers, and speaking with Wilson Tech support. The guy who did mine (Puppy's and Surround Sounds on two different occasions), does this for ...

Ricky, send me PM, I might be able to get you in touch with someone.I had mine done, and they are perfect - just as good a brand new.
does anyone know what amp this is?
Just google Musical Fidelity TriVista KW1000  and select "Images".What you think is KW FSO is actually KW PSU.
Wilson's Chronosonic XVX loudspeaker over 3/4 of a million US dollars
George, I've only heard the XVX speakers. Different experience from anything else.Yes, both speakers are tough loads, but anyone buying either of these probably isn't worried too much about amplifier needs (or anything else). These are the publish...
Focal Sopra 3 vs Wilson Audio Sasha W/P (series 1)
If you like the sound of ARC, why not look into a bigger ARC amp first. If that doesn't appeal, then I would consider looking for a speaker with an impedance that doesn't drop below 4 ohms.
Focal Sopra 3 vs Wilson Audio Sasha W/P (series 1)
Assuming you still have the ARC 75 amps, it looks to me like you're going to make the same mistake as you did with the Sasha's.Just not enough current to drive either the Sasha's or Sopra 3 properly. https://www.stereophile.com/content/focal-sopr...
WOULD IT BE DUMB TO BUY A MARK LEVINSON NO 23.5
I had the 23.5 for awhile, way back when. I just saw one listed last week (could be the same one), and couldn't believe how much they wanted for it. It was a good amp, especially for driving low impedance speakers. I thought it was a bit on the wa...
Stereophile, Pass Integrated and personal taste

Velcro on Wilson Audio Sophias diffraction pad
You can try contact cement. That’s what I’ve used in the past with partial success. I would estimate half of the velcro strips stayed on the diffraction pads after pulling the grills off to test for adhesion. Basically, it’s a one time deal though...
Luxman M900u stereo vs Mono setup
Audiodrom gave the m900u/c900u high praise with a score of 87%.However, they did have this critique:Notwithstanding all that was said the Luxman combo will most likely not appeal to anyone whose music collection favours rock’n roll. The electric g...
Question for those who use REL subs with Wilson speakers
Just one more thing Arsh, I was looking at the amp tests at Stereophile and it was suggested to JA not to bother testing the amp down to 2ohms as Musical Fidelity says using speakers under 4ohms for prolonged period of time isn't recommended. Not o...
Question for those who use REL subs with Wilson speakers
Website says the Apertures go down to 40HZ. I would be inclined to think bass traps in the corners would be more effective. Maybe talk to REL and see what they suggest (they could tell you adding more subs will overload the room, or could be of no...
