| Best CD player now made. Balanced Audio Technology VK-D5 and the Meridian 508.24 are both excellent CD players. The Meridian 508.20 on the user market is another option. Good luck.. | |
| First System- need advice I agree with the above recommendation that you listen to the Linn Majik, Tukans and Karik cd player. While this combo is a little over your budget, you might be able to buy some of the equipment used. In any case, it sounds very good. | |

| Proac vs Thiel vs Spendor You should also listen to the Dynaudio Contour 3.0. These speakers are priced around $5K and are excellent speakers. Their bass response and over all sound may be better than the above speakers listed. |
