Audiogon/Asylum and magazine reviewers posts Wow Zaikesman, that was the best writing I've seen around here in a while. Thanks for the great perspective.I was sure you were Albert as I read your thoughts, he's the only other guy I know who is so eloquent.
Any Thomas Dolby fans out there? I listened to Toomas Dolby all the time ten/ fifteen years ago. I saw him twice live in small venues, what a great proformer! I think I'll try to get one of the Limited Edition disks. Thanks for the news.
Review: NBS Statement Power cord I felt the Taipan was thin and a bit bright for my system. I burned it in for over 300 hours on a 12 amp pump hoping it would settle out, but it remained a bit harsh. The AZ Krakatoa was similiar to the Taipan with the Gargantuua coming closer to ...

Review: Dunlavy Audio Labs SC-IVa Khaki8, Maybe it would be helpful to have you describe the changes your hearing rather than simply stating it's 100% better. I'm not sure I can understand percentages from one sound to the next.
Review: Dunlavy Audio Labs SC-IVa I just got off the phone with John Dunlavy. Of course being the designer of the Dunlavy speakers he strongly defends his selection of parts used in the crossover. This should not come as any surprise, but let me tell you how he defended his select...
Thiel 3.6 vs. Dunlavy SC-IV/A I own the IVa and love them. I just wrote a review you might read.I talked with John Dunlavy a few years back and he said"If I wasn't designing speakers, I'd own Theil. They are the closest to his of any speaker made." That is high praise and a gr...
Review: Dunlavy Audio Labs SC-IVa Khaki8, thank-you for bringing this topic to my review. There has been alot written about the quality of parts used in the Dunlavy cross overs. I would love to see a summary of trials people have done that could attach to this review. I also wonde...
What are you supporting your Shunyata Hydra on? Mine is on a Nueance shelf with EAR footers. I've tried it with a BDR shelf but was not pleased with the PRAT. I've tried BDR cones along with titanium and brass cones, all are less pleasing that the EAR.
Arriving soon at your local Boeing Surplus store Very exciting! My guess is the denser compressed air is reacting to the low frequency sound waves differently than the surrounding air. The "smart" material is holding the wave or oscillation in the compressed air. The overall area covered by the ...
Change needed at Audiogon I have remained a non-verified member. I have a hotmail account and I've bought and sold well over 50 peices. If my money and my transaction history is not good enough for you, then I'd just as soon not do business with you anyway. There will alwa...
Please, someone....tell me more about......... Give him a call. He was a service tech with ARC, then with Wadia. He moved to the west coast to head the Cal Audio service department and got home sick. He now has his own company making modifications and some products. I believe this is what he t...
How long do the speakers last before a service? Is there any reason to turn the cones 180 degrees every five years or so? Would this help prevent the rubber surrounds to hold there shape longer?
