Cheap SACD Player or wait for DVD Audio? I have the SCD1 and have found it's quality of sound on standard cd's to be better than anything under $10,000! There are almost 200 SACD titles out so far and this year another 5 manufactures picked up the formatt. Given the reviews of the first ...
The best CD Player for the money I think the Sony SCD1 SACD player is the best I've heard at the less than $14,000 price point. With SACD's it's the best period!
Wanted: Exceptional preamp w/remote I use the Kora eclipes triode with an upgraded remote power supply. I've had Cat, Conrad Johnson, and A.R. The Kora is the best I've owned. Around $7000 and worth every cent, bought mine as a CES demo and saved 40%!

How did U get into this expensive hobby? Hey Garfish, I'm not sure who your talking to, but this and any audio site is first about the music and then about the "GEAR" used to reproduce it. It would be of little use to have the $35,000 I've invested if I wasn't going to enjoy music. I wou...
How did U get into this expensive hobby? Well I have no comment on Leaf or his "friends". I was in Junior High in 1969 when I was offered a used Marantz Integrated amp and tuner. I had two summer jobs at the time so I bought it with a small loan from dad. I talked my dad into a bit more ...
The Beatles Thanks Tubegroover for reminding me of the great cutting edge work by Pat Boone. The intire music industry owes it's great rewards to this "master".
The Beatles Speaking of classical and the Beatles, I think we all should remember the influance the Beatles had on bringing classical instruments to a new generation. After the Beatles played with the sound of strings and woodwinds the other European invaders...
The Beatles Hey looser boy Shubertmaniac. Some how the Animals and the Stones found themselves ahead of the Beatles. Think looser, how did the others get there audience. MICKEY D's? in 1964, go try to find a life, I know it's hard for loosers like you.
