Review : BAFO RA-RCA2-6F-V1 Premium RCA Audio Cable with vintage XAM / Sony
Congratulations to the OP for finding some IC's that he likes at a bargain price!
Power Cables - Stock vs. Budget
Don't forget the screws that hold the wall socket! A vanadium/steel alloy sounds better than plain steel.

What was the last CD you bought (Name, and year issued)?
Century Child by Finnish prog rockers Nightwish. From 2003. Bought used from eBay seller Goodwill. Paid $8.17 (including shipping and tax). If you like symphonic prog rock this is a recommendation!
Wondering...
The above posters are enraptured by spending tens of thousands on audio gear. Extreme cases of confirmation bias! Beyond a basic level all electronics sound the same. If you want to hear a real difference change your transducers (phono cartridge, ...
McIntosh C52 to C53 Upgrade
Waste of money. Keep and use the C52.
The science of why we like — and dislike — certain music
Equipment preferences are due to subjective biases! Same as music!
One stereo or two (stereo and mono) cartridges?
Why spend so much? There are many excellent cartridges available for way less! No need for a mono cartridge. A stereo cartridge plus a phono stage/preamp with a mono switch is fine. Unless you are a 1% high roller spending $10K is a foolish idea! ...
ML 30 or 37 Transports
Digital transports are not like turntables. They all have to output the same bits to conform to the Redbook CD standard. This is a scientific fact. People that claim to hear differences are delusional. Error defects in CD's are easily handled by t...
Cable design is a lot like creating a pizza
Heck, I’d still be using the Cotters if they weren’t buried so deep in storage! They were the favorite recommendation of The Audio Critic - which all the subjectivists here hate!
Cable design is a lot like creating a pizza
There is no way to justify four-figure cables. That's like paying a thousand bucks for a pizza made in Brooklyn, NY and flown hot to LA first-class! To the wire fanatics it is a faith-based religion with zero scientific backing.

@jumia : Ever since Disc Washer brought out their Gold Ens IC's in 1976 wire has become a growing market! I had some Gold Ens. Sounded fine to me! I replaced them with Cotter/Verion Tri-Axials ($30/meter). Still have six pairs in storage. Now use ...
Listening after your entire system was powered off cold for a week+
Yes, after Superstorm Sandy in November 2012 in Connecticut. We had no electricity for seven days. Upon turn-on my system sounded the same as it always has - excellent! So nice to be able to listen to music again!
Where did you buy your first audio gear?
Audiocom in Old Greenwich, CT. 1976-78. AGI 511, Hafler 101 preamps, GAS Son of Ampzilla, Infinity Monitors 1A, DCM Time Windows, Ariston RDIIS TT/SME3009/JH Formula 4/KMAL arms/GAS Sleeping Beauty mc cartridge, Mitsubishi DA-F10 tuner.
