Durable record vacuum cleaner recommendation?
@oberoniaomnia if you have the $$ look at the ClearAudio Double Matrix US. It scrubs, does US and vacuum’s both sides at the same time. Some members here have this RCM. Have read good reviews, not too many negative reviews. If my RCM stops workin...
Durable record vacuum cleaner recommendation?
@oberoniaomnia I will let the US RCM wipe and blow album partially dry. If still wet I’ll put it in a drying box. Then onto the VPI for a rinse, brushing and vacuum.  If you put a damp/wet album on the VPI put a paper record sleeve on platter firs...
Fun with MM cartridge
@lewm thanks for the input. I’ll most likely give the Grado another shot, it has very few hours on it. That’s why I tried the Grado before the Grace, I thought it was the better choice. It did get some very good reviews. It was an expensive cartri...

@westcoastaudiophile Your comment just cracks me up. Thanks for making me laugh. Joe
Durable record vacuum cleaner recommendation?
Greetings, I agree with @hifiguy42 . Bought my VPI 16 in the early 1980’s. Converted it to a 16.5 a number of years ago. Never had a problem of any kind with it. It keeps spinning and sucking. I also use a US RCM. I use the VPI for the final rin...
Is there usually a dramatic difference between $5k and $10k cartridges ?
Greetings, Sorry for be late to this posting, I want to make sure I had proper information on this subject. I can’t tell you the difference between a $5k and a $10k cartridge, but I can tell you the differences between a $5k and a $16k cartridge...
Fun with MM cartridge
Greetings, @lewm Thanks for the correction on the Grado cartridge being a MI. I thought it might be a MI. I might re-install it and let it re-brake in. I bought it in 1989, maybe listened for a few hours and packed it up, since I was move up to A...

Furutech DeMag a's user manual
Greetings, I purchased my Demag in 2011, it didn’t come with a manual, came with a 1 page operating instruction. Very basic. Turn unit on, put record or CD’s or cable on unit, hit start button. It goes thru a 16 second cycle. Can be repeated many...
Old Victrola
Greetings,  I have 2 antique TT’s. One from 1905?? and 1916. I think they look great. Only spin them once in a while. No AC requirements.  We are still dragging a rock or piece of metal thru a groove and getting wonderful music. Sometimes it feel...
What happens when the stylus tip wears out on a $12,000 cartridge?
Greetings  The only thing one can do is trade it in for a new one or up your game and go for a $15k cartridge. Once you get to the high end in cartridges it’s hard to go backwards. Joe Nies
Cueing Lever Issue - Repairable or Replace?
Greetings, As Lewm says above. Just be careful that you don’t raise it too much or the arm will not drop. On 2 of my TT’s the cueing lever sits very close to the plinth. So I use a wooden chop stick to raise the lever. Works quite well. Trimmed ...
Oracle Delphi MK1 or VPI Prime????
Greetings @erivera1990  I’m a big fan of Oracle TT’s as you know. I have had the Oracle Delphi TT in my system for over 40 years. I now have the MK VI as my main TT. It is a better sounding TT than my ClearAudio Master Solution. Putting a new mo...
