What to expect for Audio Advice Live 2025?
I find Audio Shows enjoyable, hearing good demos, seeing components I’ve read about, learning at seminars.
I'm a little perplexed/surprised by TMR and who sells to them.....
Are we really taking a magnifying glass to some marketing slogan, in this case TMR?  There seems to be no bait and switch, or deception.
The death of ultra hiend audio
Ego, greed and poor management can only result in one thing! -1 not supported by any evidence. Covid created supply chain problems, and inflation created another we really don’t know why these companies  ran aground, and there could be differ...
??? Which Would You Buy ???
It’s normally a struggle to try to fit many wants within budget. For myself, it’s an ongoing struggle.   Hypothetical seems like additional “struggle” which is a negative incentive to participate.
"I Trust My Ears"
I trust my ears = only way to find what subjectively resonates with me.  But it doesn’t mean to only try once then draw conclusions although this may apply on some occasions. Building trust in my ears likely stem from experience from many demos. ...
Need Integrated amplifier
I find the OP’s ask a bit tough.   Finding a good DAC within an integrated is tough as many are an afterthought built to a cost. Finding an integrated with HT past-through greatly limits choices also, seemingly eliminating low watt tube amplific...
Buckeye Amps musicality? Not measurements, musicality....
+1 @mapman we cannot tell you what you’ll subjectively like.  The only way…is to demo yourself- no shortcuts or further guarantees besides personally trying.
How can different CAT5/6 cables affect sound.
@kennyc can you kindly provide a link to the John Curl quote?  @devinplombier - no link, I heard him in person at an audiophile event put on by my audio club IIRC the LAOC (Los Angeles Orange County)
What do you care about in this hobby?
The question for me is always how do I decide when making my purchasing decisions towards that end.  Thats where things can start to get complicated.  The easy way out is just listen to the options and decide.  But how much must it really cost?  ...
Open Reel Curious
Have both analog+digital audio chains. Not yet done - endgame.   R2R - slim chance in my lifetime - new r2r vs used, if used then deep research on getting a quality unit plus a maintenance plan, high initial cost, high media cost, maintenance lea...

#1 Enjoyment- Variety (SS,tubes, carts, swapping components in and out) at a high-sonic quality
How can different CAT5/6 cables affect sound.
…..sometimes science hasn't yet formulated the right questions to ask, in other words fails to devise measurement protocol to account for what we hear +1 @sns seasoned audio engineer John Curl said the same thing
Do you have a speaker that’s not a big name maker but punches above its weight? Why?
Don’t need, but so tempted to get a pair of Fritz. CHESKY AUDIO LC1 - don’t own, but demoed and plenty reviews agree, this is a rare sonic bargain
Do you have a speaker that’s not a big name maker but punches above its weight? Why?
Not sure if Vimberg Mino D counts, a spinoff from Tidal Audio. I’m amused of the high sonic and construction quality of this bottom of the line “entry” speaker - likely beneficiary of trickle down technology. Why? Trickle down high quality Hercu...
Upgraded from Klipsch to Volti - Was it worth it?
….Universe provides and guides! Very special when it happens! In addition to my main SS system, I wanted an efficient speaker to investigate tube amplification.  Starting with Klipsch, I found Volti had replacement/upgrade parts for Klipsch so...
