Great tracker cart $100 I stand corrected by Viridian with $90.00 for the mp-100.Never heard the Stanton 500 so I cannot comment but it would be a no brainer provided it proves to be better than the 2M Red as Viridian claims it to be.Shure m97xe is a wonderful tracker in...
Great tracker cart $100 Yes Schubert and Viridian, Nagaoka MP 100/110 carts are really musical; great for classical/orchestra/small chamber. However, both are over $100.00 ($115.00/$130.00).The 2M Red is more suited for punk/wave/alt/rock.......in my opinion :-)
Great tracker cart $100 3rd recommendation on the 2M Red.
New Bookshelf speakers u love 3k to 6k I have auditioned both the Anima and the Anima CS.The advance model (CS) will bring the price close to 6Ks and it claims to incorporate a number of "special noise-reduction" treatments. Not to my ears. Definitely not worth the steep price for basi...
New Bookshelf speakers u love 3k to 6k I have extensively auditioned the Canalis Anima at least a dozen times at my local dealer (Hollywood Sound), mostly driven by top of the line Rogue Audio through Townshend Audio Rock 7/Lyra Kleos or WT Amadeus/Lyra Delos. StraightWire Maestro spea...

New Bookshelf speakers u love 3k to 6k Spiral Groove Canalis Anima is the best bookshelf speakers I have ever auditioned, regardless of price. Don't own them.......yet :-)
suggestion for turntable upgrade You lost me Jimbones, the Wow XL looks nothing like a VPI Scout. Built quality of the Wow XL and VPI Classic are up a notch from the likes of Music Hall, Pro-ject, and Rega.... no bias here as I am a proud owner of a fully modified Rega.I had the ...
moving magnet cartridge suggestions for rp8? Second the Rega Exact 2 if you don't want to mess up with spacers. Designed for Rega tonearms, it will work extremely well with the RP8.Adding spacers for proper VTA will open up the field for a better MM cart. You cannot go wrong with the Nagaoka...
suggestion for turntable upgrade For $2,395.00, Acoustic Signature Wow XL should be on your short list.
Upgrade from Technics 1200 MK2? $1-$1.5k budget Check SoundHiFi.com
Help me improve Rega P2 Well said Phasecorrect, too many factors and definitely NOT one culprit.
Buying a used cartridge...tell us your tale. Ebm,Buying a used AT-ML170 was the best analog move I've ever done.Second best, buying a used DV 10xGoldL.Two reference carts that will blow away carts costing $$$$$ more.Risky yes....but so stupid good!!!!!!!
Help me improve Rega P2 Mattmiller,2M Blue and Reference sub-plater will cost you $500.00 plus when you factor in s/h expenses. I still think that the 2M Red/Bellari is a much better option around $350.00 which comes closer to Jmg's budget.
Upgrade from Technics 1200 MK2? $1-$1.5k budget Great advise folks. Keep the 1200 MK2 unless you're willing to spend over $3000.00KAB fluid damper is a good option, Jelco SA-750L is a much better option.Threaded brass cone footers (Bearpaws or Mapleshade) is the way to go.My favorite matt would... |
