CJ ET3SE OR 16LS Series 2
I own a Premier 16 Series 2 that I am very happy with. Have not heard the ET3SE so I can't offer any advice regarding which may be your better option. Regarding age issues, the CJ units in general are very well built and typically use very good pa...
Any B&K Ref. 30 Gurus out there?
puzzling indeed. oh well...guess I shouldn't expect too much from a 10 + year old processor I paid 200 bucks for lol.
Any B&K Ref. 30 Gurus out there?
Thanks again Brad. I believe everything is setup from the front panel correctly, but still no sound at least through Zone 2 variable level out. At this point I've run the signal through a fixed level output with an outboard volume control and the ...
Any B&K Ref. 30 Gurus out there?
One other thought to add to the confusion. I can turn on/off the Zone 2 power via the front panel so it does seem that Zone 2 can be activated/operated without a remote.
Any B&K Ref. 30 Gurus out there?
Do you know if Zone 2 must be operated via the remote? The front panel display shows Zone 2 power is ON. I don't have the Z2 remote or the B&K remote. Only have a Home Theater Master remote that was sold to match the B&K remote. Problem is...
CJ Premier 12's or LP 140's with Dynaudio C-1ii
Not familiar with you speakers but the ET250's will pair nicely with the CT5 and based on specs they should run the Dyn's nicely. They will however continue to move you further from what you were seeking in your OP, IMO. I think Zd gives you some ...
CJ Premier 12's or LP 140's with Dynaudio C-1ii
I believe you may be headed in the wrong direction if you're seeking "more warmth". I own Premier 12's and pair them with the Premier 16. I've also owned the CT6 and extensively auditioned the CT5. Of the 3 preamps the 16 is by far the "warmest" (...
Why can you buy a car at dealer Invoice but audio
The last time I bought a piece of equipment from my dealer I accidently scraped the spoiler of my Benz as I drove up to the loading area. I guess to make me feel better the salesman told me that the Owner does it to his Maserati all the time.
Good Cartridge For an Audio Note TT-1
If you're looking for bass I don't believe you'll find it in the TT1. I listened to the IQ2 more than the 1 and found a big improvement from the 2 to the 3. I think if you went from the 1 to the 3 you'd be VERY happy with the improvements.
Good Cartridge For an Audio Note TT-1
If you like the sound, I think the natural progression would be the IQ2 or 3 if you could find one used to keep it
German "plug and play" turntable
With that speaker amp combo it's really more dependent on the cart maker and quality and phono pre. IMO MM would be the way to go. Lower priced MC (I assume you're not planning to spend more for the cart than the table) would be too bright for the...
No Audiophiles in Hollywood
Harvey in Suits listens to vinyl. Listening again in last night's season's final episode.
Help with Vintage B&K Power/Pre Amps
I recently attempted to contact B&K/ATI via telephone and email regarding an older model pre pro I was experiencing problems with. They never bothered to return my phone calls or email.
Any experience w/ Conrad Johnson MET150 5ch amp?
I haven't owned the MET150, but I have listened to it. As a reference I also use CJ tube equip. in my 2ch./HT system. IMO, it really depends what your priority is. 2ch. or HT? The MET will give you what you're looking for in terms of more refineme...
help on picking new old processor please...
MC4 is a good unit. I used one for several years until one day it just didn't turn on. Still looks like new in the original box with original manual and accessories. Be happy to send it to you for the cost of shipping, if you want it for spare par...
