Going through my collection, I found an early 90's gem- "Fire On the Mountain"- Reggae Artists Play the Grateful Dead. This is a great compilation album that always gets a warm reception in the Summertime. I am sure you could find a cheap used cop...

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I will be chillin' and sippin' on hummingbirds poolside in no time. I have ordered a few and will post my impressions. I really miss Lucky Dube by the way. He had the voice of an angel. "Guns and Roses" from Taxm...
Allman Brothers Band -- Shades of Two Worlds
The old Bros. is the best configuration of the band. However, I like both Derek and Warren Haynes. They will continue to make fine music for many years. And I also enjoy the Chuck Leavell contributions- particularly on "Jessica" and "High Falls".T...
Anyone heard/compared the Steven Wilson...
I have the Wilson miced 40th anniversary "Aqualung" cd package. It is fantastic.Steven Wilson has a FREE download on Amazon of his some of his solo pieces by the way.
Quiet Riot Documentary
I enjoyed that as well. What I found interesting was that Kevin Dubrow's brother is that doctor on that "Botched" tv show. The documentary did give insight into the feast or famine lifestyle of one hit wonders.
Atlanta GA
Unfortunately, a lot of the best used cd stores have closed over the past few years. Rwwear has good advice. Go to Little 5 Points, eat lunch at the Euclid Ave. Yacht club (excellent Brunswick stew) and walk to Wax'N'Fax and Criminal records. Ther...

What music do you want to play really loud?
Last night I enjoyed the guilty pleasure of FCA35 by Peter Frampton. This is a 3 disc live recording celebrating the 35th anniversary of "Frampton Comes Alive" released in 2012. The recording quality is excellent and I think that Peter Frampton is...
Rolling Stones Tour 2015

What a great Joe Walsh show. Thanks for the link.
My Morning Jacket / anyone seen a show ?
Loomis,Thanks for the recommendations. There is also a relatively new band from Athens called Futurebirds. They sound a lot like early MMJ using a pedal steel guitar and a lot of echo.
My Morning Jacket / anyone seen a show ?
Yes. I saw them a few years ago and they were great. At the time they were supporting "Z' and seemed to be having a good time improvising on some of the "jammier" numbers like "Off the Record". They were loud, but I enjoyed them immensely. Jim Jam...

Rembering the 80s: College Rock
The Chameleons are one of the most overlooked bands of the 80's. I have all of their discs. They are touring the U.S. this spring under the latest name "Chameleons Vox". Joy Division/New Order are both great and I am a huge Simple Minds fan as wel...
