Analysis Plus Speaker cables
I use the Oval Nine in a high res system and found them to perform better than the HT Pro9. In either case, Oval 9, Oval 14 or Silver Oval they still maintain the oval concept where the crossectional area for current flow (near or at the outter la...
How Good are the Analysis Plus speaker c
FPeel, I owned the SF Line 2 and replaced the Sovtek tubes (rear two which matter most) with $55 Amperex gold pin NOS from Upscale Audio. For the same reasons, they are zippy. The Amperex added warmth, body, and better 3D imaging. I was using a do...
Does anyone know if neutral cables exist
If your budget allows, try the Nirvana S-X cable ($1295). I bought it before the Stereophile review last issue. Everything stated in the review is true. Steve Creamer at Nirvana has over 200K in test equipment. Chesky Records use Nirvana exclusive...
Aurios Media Ioslation Bearings- yes/no?
Sutts, the Dark Matter Shelves are used under both 777 SACD player and Bel Canto EVo digital amp. I use the EVS Attenuators as passive preamp which is connected directly to back of amp (shelves not needed for separate preamp). Best price I have se...
Aurios Media Ioslation Bearings- yes/no?
Forgot to mention, I got mine from Delve Audio. Oliver is a fair and honest dealer. +++++
Aurios Media Ioslation Bearings- yes/no?
These removed a level of microphonics in my system I didn't known I had. The image focus and top-bottom/front-back soundstage improved immensly. Definitely recommeded. I tried them on marble as suggested by Vistek but found their performance enhan...
Walker High Definition Links
Andrewucd and Epicaud, thanks for the info. My system includes Sony SCD-777ES SACD, EVS Nude Attenuators, Bel Canto EVo 200.2 amp, Eggleston Andras, Nirvana S-X ic, and Analysis Plus Oval Nine spk cable. Eggelstons use the same tweeter as the Merl...
Walker High Definition Links
Thanks Rcallahan. The Walker Valid Points are what your are referring to which couple or decouple your electronics to the bottom support surface of your rack or shelf. The Walker High Definition Links attach to your speaker terminals to filter RFI...
Is SACD really this lousy?
Jmazur: The breakin is required for both SACD and CD outputs. I received the Bel Canto EVo late May after issues with the design were resolved. This amp replaced a $7K McCormack DNA2 LAE. For $2400 you can't go wrong. It extremely musical, resolvi...
Is SACD really this lousy?
Jamazur. I don't have vinyl so I won't comment on how the two compares. I did previously own the CAL CL-15 and upgraded to the SCD-777ES. I think the SACD output blows away the CL-15 std cd output. You must break the player in for 400 hours. Buy t...
Power Plants PS300?
I had my NAD T770 receiver (5 x 70 watts) and a Sony SCD-777ES SACD plugged into the p300. Speakers were 6/8 ohms. When listening to 2 channel sources there was no problem. I drew up to 190 watts. It was volume dependent and would be speaker depen...
Nirvana Interconnects and Speaker Cables
Rrgordon, the borrowed cables from the Cable Co. Not sure how they were burned in. On my new SX ic I plan on burning in using the Purist Audio II Burn-In CD. I have heard some used a "Cable Cooker". Don't have experience with one. BTW, the SX spea...
Spkr Cble- Analysis Oval 9- reviews?
Nothing personally meant toward you Carl. Its hard to admit my first impressions of the Oval 9 were wrong. No big deal. Gold point also sells attenuators at goldpt.com. I looking to change mine since I changed my amp from McCormack DNA2 to Bel Can...
Spkr Cble- Analysis Oval 9- reviews?
I hate to admit it ... Carl was right. The Oval 9s are not as clean as Harmonic Tech but have their own positives such as 3D soundstaging and tone (IMHO). But, good news, the Silver Ovals are in a whole different class not exhibiting the negatives...
