New DAC issues
Can a DAC just be incredibly lean? Yup, it can, and some people will like it, but horses for courses. Buying high priced gear, with positive reviews, from a well-respected manufacturer is not a guarantee that you are going to like how it sound...
Time heals all wounds?
Is there a market for old/vintage NADs? (no, not those "old nads"!) Integrated amp with phono stage, power amp, and tuner, all from the way early days (early 80's), all work, and they could use a good home where they are appreciated.
High Pass Filter for Mains
@mashif - mine is already posted but the crossover frequency is maybe too low for you at 45 Hz.
High Pass Filter for Mains
I have the Marchand XM446 passive balanced high pass filter and it worked as advertised and seemed to add nothing to the sound of my system except for cutting off the low bass signal to my main speakers as it was designed to do.  However, since my...
Is there anything other than a Benchmark DAC?
Are you considering another DAC3?
USB decrapifiers
I have never been able to hear much or any difference when trying different types of Ethernet or USB "decrapifiers" but I do like what the Singxer SU-6 DDC does for my system.  I originally tried it so that I would not be limited to the USB only o...
Full loom of the same cable brand vs mixing and matching.
Whatever sounds good to you.  Just don't overthink it or overpay for it.
Morrow Audio Speaker Cables
There is a lot of information in the threads on this site.  I entered "Morrow Audio Speaker Cables" in the forum search and there are over 500 posts you can check out.  You can sort them by relevance or date. You can also read about their design ...
Best DAC’S $5k to $15k
@nyev  I ultimately found the Mojo Audio DACs to sound more musical to me than others I have tried in my system, including the Tambaqui.  However, based on what I have read about the Merason DAC 1 mk2, that is one I would like to try if I had the...
Best DAC’S $5k to $15k
Absolutely, listen to the Mola Mola. It is the most perfect sounding DAC I have had in my system, but not the most musical, IMO, and so I sold mine. However, even if you decide you like something better, it is so good that hearing it in your syst...
Back to the DAC
There are 5 of them on USAM right now for under $4K each.
Great network streamers with only USB outputs
@bunkertoy - I am not familiar with the converters you listed.  I gave you three recommendations: Sonore ultraDigital, converter only, $499 Singxer SU-6, DDC and converter, $748 (from Kitsune Hi-Fi) HoloAudio Red, converter, DDC, and streamer...
Great network streamers with only USB outputs
I agree with @v-fi about USB converters such as this one from Sonore, and don’t forget about DDC choices like the one from Singxer I linked in my earlier post, or several offered by Denafrips, or even the Holo Audio Red, which is both a capable DD...
Back to the DAC
I owned the Tambaqui late last year and sold it after a month or so.  It sounded arguably “perfect”, but was not engaging enough to me.  I have heard of others selling the Weiss for similar reasons and Benchmark (which I still own), same thing. Ho...
Cable vs fiber for audio quality
If you are referring to the conduit your internet service provider uses, any differences would be based on speed (based on your service plan) and reliability, and not whether they use coax or fiber, although fiber can provide faster speeds overall...
