???What's The LEAST Expensive "End Game"Amplifier You've Ever Heard???
Used ARC Ref 75 SE is definitely my end game amp. So happy and so done. 🙂 A bit above the price range being discussed.
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
@ritter06 thanks for the recommend on Little Dark Age, they went a little Depeche Mode-y after a quick sampling.  Will be interested in what you end up with. I have 3 sets of older speakers, Nautilus 805’s on the factory stands, and two pairs of T...
???YOUR Personal Favorite???Why???
B+W Nautilus 805’s on their dedicated stands. Still amazing after all these years. Used (obviously) with stands around $2500 or so.
Would you still pay $10k or more for a turntable not full analog front end these days ?
There’s space in my systems for most of the above. I waited a decade plus to buy a Linn Klimax DS2 at an affordable (used) price. Some Qobuz or NAS (CD and vinyl rips) tracks sound so amazing I almost want to cry.  I’m an ex radio DJ and putting t...
Let's Talk DAC's
There are first generation PSAudio DirectStream DAC’s refurbished by PSAudio that can be purchased from them and they accept trade-in up to a certain amount. Stereophile Class A and there are multiple FPGA updates you can try out to get the sound ...
I want to move from Rega Planar 6 help me to pick a new turntable
OP, sounds like you made up your mind on the TT, congratulations.  Can't emphasize enough the importance of eventually upgrading your phono preamp.  After doing a lot of auditioning, I continue to be completely blown away by the PS Audio Stellar P...

@dsper  I have an Audio Research Ref75SE driving my pair of CS.5’s that I bought from Bay Area Audio back in the day. The authority of that amp mates well with the baby Thiels in an almost magical way. No low end bass of course but the coherence ...
Speaker Connectors: Banana Plug conversion adaptor to spades
I have a similar question, am curious if either of these adapters (both still available in Jan 2020) worked on the Thiel's.  It's mighty tight at the bottom where the connections are, one of my least favorite things about otherwise great speakers.
Recommend Affordable Integrated Amps (Solid State or Tube)
I got an LFD LE V Plus from Gene Rubin Audio for about the top end of your price range (it was on sale).  (the 2018 version is $4,995).  Get on their mailing list, there are specials occasionally.  This amplifier is (very) long on punch and musica...
Has anyone considered rebuying a speaker you once owned??
Nope, I never give anything up.  I just get them out of storage and hook them up. :-)  Currently loving my B&W Nautlius 805's and Thiel CS .5's.
Thiel Owners
I've had a pair of CS .5's for years now and I still love them.  Currently driven by AR Ref 75.  You might think of that as a mis-match, but I don't think so.  Sounds so sweet.  I heard these just after they were released when Bay Area Audio in Sa...
Best integrated from this list...
LFD LE of almost any vintage (LE V+ is the current version).  Just amazing.  Super stripped down and frill-free, all the effort went into the sound.  It will mate super well with the Vandersteen2c's.  Only 2 distributors in the US, they are easy t...
Ever Bought an Audio Product that was Stupid Good for the Money?
LFD LE V+ integrated amplifier.  About $4K, better than almost anything I've ever heard, regardless of price.  The original B&W Nautilus 805's, which can be had for about $1000 - $1500 now also qualify, if you can find a decent pair.  I auditi...
Small living room speaker options.. Totem Arro?
Don't know what your budget is but I have the original B&W Nautilus 805's which still sound amazing after all these years.  They work well in small spaces.  I listened to the current generation Diamond 805's and they sounded lifeless to me (an...
